Kunming South Railway Station, the main station for high-speed trains, was newly put into service in 2016. It is one of the most important train stations in Yunna Province, as well as the largest train station in southwest China. Kunming South is now a super-large comprehensive transportation hub station integrating various modes of transportation including high-speed railway, subway, bus and taxi.

Station Layout
Kunming South Railway Station consists of four parts: main building, north platform awning, south platform awning, west square and east square. The East Square has Kunming South Bus Center for long-distance buses and a bus stop for cities buses.

Transportation - to/from Kunming South
By subway:
Kunming South is the terminus of Kunming Subway Line 1 and Line 4. After disembarking, passengers can directly go downstairs to the subway platform to transfer to other parts of the city.
