Hong Kong – Xiamen High-Speed Train Seat Classes and Ticket Fares
Seat Classes
High-speed trains between Hong Kong and Xiamen have two classes of seats: first class and second class. Business class or superior class on these trains is not available these trains.
- Second class has 5 chairs (3+2) in a row. It is the most common class on a high-speed train and ticket fare is the cheapest. Like the seat on an airplane, the seatback is adjustable. Each seat is equipped with a foldable tray table and a power socket.
- First class has four chairs in a row (2+2). It is more spacious, quieter and comfortable than second class. The seatback can also be adjusted to a comfortable position. Power socket and foldable table are available to each passenger. On a high-speed train, usually there is only one carriage for first class, on the first or last carriage.

Hong Kong to Xiamen By Transfer in Guangzhou
1. Hong Kong to Guangzhou: 34 daily high-speed trains, with an average time interval of 30 minutes. Trains will arrive at Guangzhou South Station. Travel time is around 50 minutes.
2. Guangzhou to Xiamen: 2 bullet trains and 2 overnight train are running from Guangzhou to Xiamen everyday. They have different departure stations: Guangzhou South, Guangzhou East and Guangzhou Railway Station.
3. It is recommended to take train G1607 from Guangzhou to Xiamen because this train departs from Guangzhou South Station. Thus you don't need to move to another station to transfer.
4. Transfer tips: When you get off the train at Guangzhou South Station, you can take the elevator or escalator directly from the platform up to the waiting hall to board your connection train from Guangzhou to Xiamen.

Hong Kong to Xiamen By Transfer in Shenzhen
1. Hong Kong to Shenzhen: there are 65 bullet trains running between Hong Kong's West Kowloon Station and Shenzhen North Station, with the shortest duration of 19 minutes. The average interval time is 15 minutes.
2. Shenzhen to Xiamen: more than 40 bullet trains traveling between Shenzhen North Station to Xiamen North and Xiamen Railway Stations.
3. Transfer tips: high-speed trains to/from Shenzhen end/originate at Shenzhen North Station. Transfer can be easily made in one station. You don't need to go out of the train station. Just take the elevator or escalator go up from the platform to the waiting lounge for boarding.
